Fat Pad Filling in Feet

Foot Fillers

Injecting into the foot requires a great deal of expertise and can have significant consequences if done incorrectly; here at Clinic M we provide the fillers under the guidance of Ultrasound Video to ensure placement is safe and effective.

For the feet, dermal fillers can be used to provide cushioning for the balls and heels of the feet and to treat many types of foot pain such as:

  • Flat Feet
  • Foot Pad Atrophy
  • High Heel Pain
  • Morton’s Neuroma
  • Painful Corns
  • Calluses
  • Hammertoes

Dermal filler treatments are commonly used to slow down the aging process of the skin. They have been shown to relieve foot pain and re-volumise the plantar fat pads, leading to an improved quality of life for patients. The safe use of filler injections in feet and toes can allow comfort you may have thought was lost to aging and tissue loss.

Dermal fillers are mainly comprised of a naturally occurring sugar in the body called Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic Acid is commonly present within our body from our skin to our eyes and joints. Hyaluronic Acid helps to add volume and hydration. The treatment is soft, safe, but temporary, results are immediate and typically last between 6-9 months. The advantages of fillers are that they are suitable for all skin types and require no pre-treatment skin test. Here at Clinic M we commonly use Juvederm, Teosyl and Boletero. These fillers are pharmacy purchased and have an excellent evidenced base behind their use.

The procedure begins with numbing the area to be treated with local anaesthetic. Once the area is numb, the filler is added to the areas that are causing your pain. The treatment generally takes 45-60 minutes. The foot may be sore for a few days and can include redness or bruising at the injection site. You will see and feel the benefits immediately and with repeated treatments over time, the benefit of using fillers for the feet builds up so the effects last longer and deliver greater benefits.

Over the past several years, fillers have been found so safe and effective that we can avoid surgical procedures of certain foot problems. Injections are not covered by insurance.

BOTOX® injections for severe foot sweating can also be administered.

Fillers can provide much needed comfort by padding the ball of the foot and protecting your soft tissue, nerves, bones and joints from repeated stress. Fillers are a wonderful addition to our treatment options, offering safe, comfortable results with a minimum of downtime. Using fillers is a conservative approach to pain. you will need a consultation.

If you have been suffering with painful deep corns or walking has become painful, these injections allow you to walk with far more comfort.

The injectable filler procedure is SAFE. Both men and women can benefit and walk more comfortably, and there is no age limit. Seniors can be safely treated for painful bony hammertoes that impede wearing shoes, or dropped bony metatarsals without any side effects.

Do you want to wear high heels again?

Walking on heels means most of your body weight is placed on the front of the foot, causing the forefoot structure to collapse; leading to a condition called Metatarsalgia- resulting in burning, aching feet as well as tired aching legs.

What is the Solution for my Foot pain (especially in high heels)?

Foot Fillers using a soft gel based Dermal Filler is injected into the ball of the foot resulting to less pressure in the ball of the foot, reducing the excess forces and friction under the ball of the foot. Foot Fillers both support and cushion the feet, providing lasting relief and walking comfort.

Will it change the shape or look of your feet?

The filler will not affect the shape or look of your feet – it will simply provide a cushioning effect for the area that is painful for the base of the feet.

How safe are Dermal Filllers for my Feet?

We only use safety approved products. Dermal fillers such as Juvederm; contain hyaluronic acid which is a natural liquid already found in our skin and muscles- the benefits of hyaluronic acid is that it hydrates the skin by holding in water and to act as a cushioning agent.

How long does the Foot Cushioning treatment take?

Injectable dermal filler treatments are normally completed within 45 mins due to Utrasound Guided Video placement. The hyaluronic acid gel is injected into the skin on the ball of the foot.

An added benefit is that the popular Juvederm filler includes a small quantity of local anaesthetic for a comfortable, pain-free injection experience!

How will I feel after my Foot Filler treatment?

You can go back to work or carry on with the rest of day as normal. If you have been given a Local Anaesthetic Injection to help with pain for larger injections your foot will remain numb for at least 2 hours.

Pain relief from wearing heels is usually evident as early on day 2 following treatment.

How long can I expect my Foot Filler treatment to last for?

The Dermal Filler for your Foot cushioning can last up to one year; using the leading Juvederm dermal filler; number one in safety, effective and long-lasting results.

What is the price for Foot Filler treatment?

Each treatment has a cost depending on where the injection is placed.
